1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CaraComp's facial recognition comparison service ("Service") at caracomp.com and app.caracomp.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CaraComp provides an AI-powered facial recognition comparison tool that allows users to:

• Upload and compare facial images
• Receive match confidence scores and analysis
• Detect facial attributes and features
• Generate comparison reports

The Service is intended as an investigative aid and should not be used as the sole basis for making critical decisions about individuals.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our Service.

4. Subscription Plans & Payments

4.1 Plans Available

• Monthly: $12.99/month - 50 searches per day
• Yearly: $119/year - 50 searches per day (Save 24%)
• Teams: $10.99/seat/month - 50 searches per day per seat (minimum 3 seats)

4.2 Billing

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis
• You authorize us to charge your payment method automatically
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
• All fees are non-refundable except as stated in our refund policy

4.3 Teams Plans

• Minimum of 3 seats required
• Each seat includes 50 searches per day
• Team administrators can add or remove seats at any time
• Billing adjusts automatically when seats are added or removed

5. Refund Policy

• Request a refund within 7 days of your initial purchase for a full refund
• Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
• After 7 days, no refunds will be issued for the current billing period
• Refunds are only available for first-time subscribers

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings:

• Access continues until the end of your current billing period
• No partial refunds for unused time after the 7-day guarantee period
• You can reactivate your subscription at any time
• We may retain certain data as required by law

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use CaraComp only for lawful purposes. You must NOT use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Harass, stalk, threaten, or harm any individual
• Conduct unauthorized surveillance or tracking
• Discriminate against individuals based on protected characteristics
• Upload images of minors without proper authorization
• Upload illegal, obscene, or harmful content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or hack the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Circumvent usage limits or subscription restrictions
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission

8. Image Upload Guidelines

When uploading images to CaraComp, you represent and warrant that:

• You have the legal right to use and upload the images
• The images do not violate any laws or third-party rights
• You have obtained necessary consent where required by law
• You are using the images for legitimate investigative or verification purposes

9. Accuracy Disclaimer

While CaraComp strives for accuracy (90%+ in most cases), you acknowledge that:

• AI-based facial recognition is not 100% accurate
• Results should be used as one factor in your analysis, not the sole determinant
• Image quality, lighting, angles, and obstructions affect accuracy
• You are responsible for verifying results through additional means
• CaraComp is not liable for decisions made based solely on our results

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by CaraComp and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of images you upload, but grant us a limited license to process them for providing the Service.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• CaraComp is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the past 12 months
• We are not responsible for actions taken based on comparison results

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CaraComp, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Images you upload to the Service

13. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue the Service at any time
• Change features, pricing, or usage limits with notice
• Suspend accounts that violate these Terms
• Update these Terms as needed

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending an email notification for material changes

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
